Grazyna Cydzik is a London-based artist born in Edinburgh.
She completed art studies at Chelsea College of Art, Byam Shaw School of Art, and Kingston University, where in 1997 she gained an MA with distinction in Contemporary Art Practice.
Grazyna has had an evolving art practice alongside a professional career in teaching, both in the primary and the adult education sectors – in the latter she taught EFL, ESOL, and Polish.
One issue within contemporary art practice is that of representation (a slippery concept)-and response. Grazyna has sought to explore this throughout her art practice which has encompassed process-based work, installation, object, photography and, more recently, painting and drawing.
After a period without sustained art making, she is currently completing a Contemporary Portrait Diploma at the Art Academy, London.
