Throughout 2018 there was much discussion about the why and the how we should commemorate the 100 year anniversary of the ending of WW1. This reminded me of a photocopy that I had kept of an advertisement from a 1992 newspaper.
It shows how the Thimble Guild chose to commemorate the end of Operation Desert Storm (1990-1991), a war against Iraq by a USA-led coalition, including UK, following Iraq’s invasion of Kuwait.
